Prior to joining the Family Business Consulting Group, Penny founded Familias & Company, established Whitehead Mann’s Centre for Family Business Excellence assisting families in the UK and abroad to address issues of conflict resolution, design of family agreements, succession planning, board effectiveness, team development and next generation development. She also trained as a strategic consultant with Monitor Company, spent 10 years in the international telecommunications industry , and two years in executive search, before becoming a director of the UK’s premier executive coaching firm, The Change Partnership.
 

Penny chairs the UK’s Institute for Family Business Advisory Council and is a regular speaker across Europe and the Middle East. Penny has also delivered Executive Development Programmes and delivered programmes in Entrepreneurial Leadership at INSEAD.
 

Penny has a BSc Hons in International Relations from the University of Toronto, an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, an MBA in Business Informatics and is a certified psychotherapist and counselor. She is also a CEDR accredited mediator. Penny is also a trustee for Wellchild UK, an advisor to the NSPCC Full Stop campaign, Advisor to the World’s Children’s Prize for the Rights of the Child, an Advisor to the London Chamber Orchestra and a non-executive director for a family business in the Middle East.
